A quick and easy paper flower tutorial,
and a great way to recycle some of those old magazines and tatty books
that you have lying around....
You will need:
a scalloped circle punch or a scalloped circle template.
pages torn from newspapers, magazines and old books.
split pins (paper fasteners)
a craft knife
Using the template or a paper punch, cut out 12 scalloped paper circles from magazine, newspaper and old book pages.
Pile the paper circles one on top of the other and find the centre point.
Using a craft knife make a small slit through all 12 layers.
Insert a split pin and open it out at the back to secure the layers together.
Crumple and squash each layer in turn in towards the centre.
When all the layers are done, run your hands over the flower to open it out again.
Use them to pretty up your parcels...
